Biophilic Design: How to Incorperate it

Biophilic Design is creating a sense of harmony between your home and the outside world. The goal is to connect humans with nature which improves our well-being. Today people spend 80-90% of time indoors. Biophilic design brings the characteristics of the natural world into built spaces to connect us with nature. We have some tips of how to incorporate Biophilia into your home.

Add some greenery

The easiest way to connect with nature indoors is adding some plants and greenery to your home. Plants purify the air and boost out moods!

If you’ve been in the shop you already know we have this one covered! It is a jungle in here!

Natural Materials

Use natural materials like wood, clay, stone, cork, and rattan. The Jasper Planters natural wood frame and concrete pot is a great way to add natural materials and greenery.

Organic Forms Inspired by Nature

Add in some decor or furniture with organic curves to mimic natures patterns. The Newburyport Bowl is an abstract bowl inspired by a piece of driftwood.

Choose Earth Tones

Use blues, greens, and browns to create a soothing feel. The rich green of the Fat Throw is a perfect addition to any home.
